The Viseo group is committed to a partnership with Bôndy, a social enterprise carrying out impact reforestation projects in Madagascar. Very committed to education and the environment, the Viseo group supports Bôndy environmental restoration projects. By being its partner in mobility solutions through Continental Auto and the ISUZU brand, Bôndy operates in 8 regions of Madagascar, where road infrastructures are sometimes degraded. Through the partnership with the Viseo Group, the acquisition of two Isuzu D-Max vehicles facilitates the logistics and transport of Bôndy's field teams. By putting local communities at the heart of the project, the two companies are making an environmental, social and economic contribution in the city of Andramasina, Analamanga region. In terms of environmental impact, 8,666 trees with high added values will be planted on an area of 8.6 hectares at 3 partner farmers. According to estimates by the Bôndy carbon cluster, 57 tons of CO2 will be sequestered by trees over a period of 5 years. In terms of social impact, Bôndy collaborates with EPPs in each area of intervention, the aim being to make the youngest aware of the challenges of sustainable development. To do this, educational materials will be distributed to 136 schoolchildren in partnership with Viseo.

Viseo employees are also mobilized and sensitized in the city of Andramasina to plant their trees and have a direct impact on their environment. Trees with high added values will allow the owners of the plots to have alternative incomes.

Finally, in terms of economic impact, tree planting and monitoring have always had positive impacts in Bôndy intervention areas. Thus, 12 sustainable jobs are supported and 16 one-off jobs have been generated. The tree species selected include fruit trees, cash trees, and fast-growing trees. For 5 years, Bôndy will support its 3 partner beneficiaries through training in agroforestry and by setting up trade routes for future harvests.

This partnership represents a fruitful long-term collaboration between the Viseo group, Bôndy and Malagasy biodiversity. The long-term objective is to renew this operation every year to contribute to the transformation of the red island into a green island.
