Appointment of Max Andonirina Fontaine as head of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development
PUBLISHED ON: JANUARY 26, 2024
Max Adonirina Fontaine, Founder of Bôndy, was appointed Minister of Environment and Sustainable Development in the new government of Christian Ntsaty, and thus suspends his functions within the reforestation company. The latter is still managed by Gabriel Tasso and Nelson Maillard. Patriotic commitment to the sustainable development of Madagascar by accepting the position of minister within the government team, Max Andonirina Fontaine reaffirms her patriotism and her deep commitment to the sustainable development of the Big Island. To meet the total dedication required by his new responsibilities, the founder of Bôndy suspended his duties within the reforestation company.
Continuity of Bôndy's operations
The company is still managed by Gabriel Tasso (CEO) and Nelson Maillard (Co-founder), who, with their 150 employees, 1200 partner producers and 1500 seasonal workers, are pursuing the mission of greening the Big Island again. Since its creation in 2019, Bôndy has planted over three million trees.
Transforming Red Island into Green Island
The reforestation projects developed by the company are part of a holistic approach, and thus concretely benefit rural communities in Madagascar - through, in particular, the development of basic infrastructures, as well as the creation of income-generating activities. For this new year 2024, Bôndy intends to demonstrate even more audacity and commitment in favor of populations and its partners.
Together, let's transform Red Island into Green Island!
